2018
Our first project was to support our class fellow and his family, who was suffering from Renal Cell Carcinoma. He was helped with $20,000 for his medical treatments.
2019: Donation for PWA
Donations were given to PWA for $21,759.38 and $12,514.33.
2020: Covid-Era
Personal Protective Aid (PPE) were given to Heal Aid Foundation in the amount of $10,000.
2021: Friends of Burn Center FOBC
We worked along with the Friends of Burn Center (FOBC) and provided 24 ICU beds and an ABG machine to the Burn Center at Civil Hospital Karachi. The extra donation collected for them was given to the FOBC for the Burn Unit at Civil Hospital Karachi as well. Total support was in the amount of $ 37,682.40.
2022: Class of 1997 Silver Jubilee Project (PEDS CARDIOLOGY - HDU)
As a Silver Jubilee project of the Class of 1997, the Peds Cardiology High Dependency Unit (HDU), was donated to the Civil Hospital Karachi. This unit included 6 HDU Beds and 2 incubators.
PEDS -2 General ward uplift was also done.
Our class fellow and ex. Vice President of Dow 97 Foundation, Dr. Naheed Maher was an Associate Professor of Peds Cardiology at CHK at that time and is the project director. This project is run through her foundation, Friends of Little Heart (FLH) for its sustainability and future operations.
2024: GYN-III
An ultrasound machine and telemonitors were provided to the OBGYN-III ward to assist the CHK impoverished population.
2024: Scholarship Program
The student selection committee of Dow 97 Foundation is working on selecting deserving students for Scholarships in paramedical fields, like Nursing, Technology etc.
A donation in the amount of $10,075 was given to the Patient Welfare Association at CHK.
